I am passionate about seeing players compete and evolve. As a long-time player, I have played in competitions and tournaments locally, regionally, and at a State level. As a long-time coach of over 25 years, I have been lucky to work with some inspiring players and coaches having run everything from Hots Shots to High-Performance Junior Squads including competition preparation. Prior to moving to Toowoomba in 2019, I worked for Tennis Victoria/Tennis Australia where I was responsible for club and coach development in the South West of the state working with over 100 clubs and 30 coaches. I have played much of my tennis in Victoria. I have managed a large tennis facility including the junior competition with over 24 junior teams representing the club each week. I am also a Court Supervisor.
I am a Junior Development coach and play left-handed. I began my tennis journey at age 9, in Newcastle, NSW. As a teenager, I played NSW Junior and Open Tournament circuits as well as NSW Combined High School events. When I was posted to QLD with the Air Force, I played fixtures with Ipswich Association, and served as an assistant coach with Ipswich Junior Association. under Stan Cuthbert. I’m an all-court player with a preference to serve and volley. I host the Hot Shots groups at SQTA and bring a raft of experience in both singles and doubles formats.
